This necklace is handmade from a perfectly matching set of AAA grade black Saltwater Akoya pearls in a large 8mm size, hand linked in solid 18k gold and set with a solid Australian black Opal.
The Australian black Opal was mined at the Mintabie Opal mine and displays very bright blue flashes. This black Opal is of a quality no longer found since the Mintabie Opal mine has been depleted; this Opal was mined over 12 years ago.
The necklace is finished with a handmade solid 18k gold clasp which has been hallmarked by the London assay office and bears the Jenny Gutierrez studio makers mark.
